Around 30 kilometers from Laudun, the Ardeche river has cut a deep and winding gorge that is quite spectacular. A road follows much of it at the top, offering beautiful panoramas of the river and of the surrounding countryside. |

| Even closer to Laudun is the valley of the Ceze river, which empties into the Rhone at Laudun. All along the Ceze valley are a series of hilltop villages dating back to medieval times. While the Ardeche river gorges are wild, the Ceze valley is quieter, often many wonderful spots to relax. |
